Morag and Eddie checked the plan for the island run. Eddie was due to collect on Bracken Isle.

Then the weather changed. Morag decided the ferry would wait, and Eddie understood.

On the island, Iain followed the storage plan. Everything stayed safely closed in its own place.

Eddie changed the plan on his clipboard. No rush: the run would happen on another day.

Later the weather cleared, and Morag checked with the team before the ferry was ready again.
Morag: “Enjoy the crossing. Keep your things with you.”

Iain showed them everything still safe in its place. Waiting had been part of a good plan.
Draft, 19 October 2026. The words and pictures are not yet reviewed by an educator. The story follows the outline in our story guide.
The real-life bit
Ferries and collection rounds sometimes wait for safe weather. If your own collection day changes, your council’s website is the place to check. Gullbrae is made up. Your council’s own rules are the ones to follow.
