Terms of use

BinDayBuddy is an independent website run by Towpath Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 16913912. It is not run by or for any council, and no council has endorsed it.

Your council decides

  • Your council decides your collections and what goes in each bin. If anything here differs from what your council says, your council is right.
  • For some councils we show collection dates read from the council’s own system, and say when we read them. Councils change rounds and move days for bank holidays, so a date can be wrong or out of date; the council’s own information always wins.
  • Where we show a postcode’s dates, they are the days most homes there share. Your own home can be different: check with your council if you’re not sure.
  • For other councils we link to the council’s own page, taken from GOV.UK’s list of council services. Councils change their pages, so a link can stop working; please tell us if one does.
  • Answers about items are general UK answers unless they name a council.

Gullbrae and the learning packs

  • Gullbrae, Bracken Isle and their people are made up. Their stories teach general ideas, not your council’s rules.
  • You may print the learning packs, stories and activities free for your own family, your class or your school. Please don’t sell them, change them, or put them on another website.
  • The packs are drafts while an educator and a fact reviewer check them. Each one says so.
  • The Help Gullbrae missions are ideas for a grown-up to supervise. Each one says what the grown-up handles, and the grown-up decides what is safe for their child and their setting.
  • The words, pictures and characters on this site are protected by copyright. To use them for anything else, ask us first.

Using the site

  • The site is free. Please don’t try to break it, overload it, or copy it automatically.
  • We work hard to make every answer right, but we can’t promise the site will always be available or free of mistakes. Nothing here limits any rights you have by law.
  • Links to other websites go to sites we don’t run.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
