For council waste teams

When collections change, every household has to learn something new. BinDayBuddy helps residents get it right, and sends them to you for anything only you can answer.

Send residents to your page

A postcode finds your council and links straight to your own bin day page and missed-bin form, from GOV.UK’s list of council services.

Never speak for you

We are independent. We never present ourselves as the council, and every answer points back to you.

With your permission

Your dates and your rules

We show your collection dates only from data you publish for reuse, or with your written permission, and credit you on every page.

With your help

Checked by you

If your team checks how we describe your bins, the page says so and when. If we spot something out of date on your pages, we tell you.

A rollout season, with one council first

For a council changing its collections, such as starting weekly food waste, we want to run a free pilot season in 2027, timed to your rollout:

Your rules, everywhere

Item answers, bin colour pages and the food caddy guide written for your area, signed off by your team before anything is published.

Schools in your area

A school pack in your own bin colours, free for every primary school, with a whole-school challenge in the weeks around the change.

Families together

A weekly mission with Eddie and the Gullbrae crew: a short video, a quiz and one real thing to do at home, like using the caddy all week.

What residents get wrong

A report of the questions people ask and the items they look up in your area, counted, never named. No personal data is shared.

This is a pilot we have not run yet. We will agree what is measured with you before it starts, and we will report only what we measured.

Who we are

BinDayBuddy is made by Towpath Digital Ltd, a small UK company. No adverts appear anywhere near the children’s pages, and children never make accounts.
