Before the ferry home to Bracken Isle, Ailsa and Buddy stopped at Angelo’s.

Buddy asked if her bag was ready for the day. Her bottle and lunch box were already packed.

Angelo showed them where they could refill the bottle with drinking water.

At the harbour, Morag told them about the crossing.
Morag: “Enjoy the crossing. Keep your things with you.”

Back at the island shop, Ailsa still had the same bottle.

One bottle, used again and again, all day long.

The real-life bit
Taking a bottle you already have saves buying another one. Some places offer drinking water refills, so check what’s available where you’re going. Gullbrae is made up. Your council’s own rules are the ones to follow.
