Every week, Morag welcomed Eddie and Malik aboard for the island run.
Morag: “Enjoy the crossing. Keep your things with you.”

On the island, Iain told them what was ready to go to the mainland.
Iain: “We plan for the busy weeks, not only the quiet morning.”

The crew checked the plan together, so everything would go the right way.

Then it was back on the ferry for the crossing.

Morag pointed out the mainland, where the next part of the journey would begin.

Back at the harbour, they checked the plan for next week’s run.
Draft, 19 October 2026. The words and pictures are not yet reviewed by an educator. The story follows the outline in our story guide.
The real-life bit
On islands, rubbish and recycling can travel to the mainland by boat. Wherever you live, putting the right thing in the right bin makes every step after it easier. Gullbrae is made up. Your council’s own rules are the ones to follow.
