Angelo and Buddy spotted one wrapper on the pavement outside the parlour.

A breeze caught it and blew it along the pavement.

Angelo picked it up safely, with gloves, a litter picker and a bag.

Arthur imagined where a wrapper could end up: in the burn, and then on the shore.
Arthur: “Look after the garden, look after the shore, and ask the right person when help is needed.”

Angelo closed the lid of the parlour’s litter bin, so nothing else could blow away.

Buddy smiled. Stopping litter escaping is better than looking for someone to blame.

The real-life bit
Litter that blows away can reach streams, rivers and the sea. Keep your wrapper until you find a bin, and keep bin lids closed. Never pick up litter that could be sharp or dirty: tell a grown-up. Gullbrae is made up. Your council’s own rules are the ones to follow.
