The castle · Gullbrae

Hugo

Hugo and his wife Cecily are new neighbours in Gullbrae. They are turning a tired old castle into a welcoming home and B&B, and finding their place in village life.

What he’s known for

Looking rather formal, until he rolls up his sleeves with a clever practical fix. A grand explanation often ends with a very ordinary reused object.

His tip for home

Old furniture can often be mended. Ask someone who knows before it goes to the tip.
