Up the hill

The castle

A tired old castle becoming a welcoming B&B.

DraftA made-up place

Gullbrae castle: an old stone tower and house among flowers and trees, with a stream beside it.

Who works here

What happens here

The castle is old and tired. Hugo and Cecily are giving it new life as a B&B.

Instead of throwing everything out, they ask Stan what can be mended and give old furniture new jobs.

A castle guest room before restoration: a stone wall, a bed and an old wooden cupboard.
A guest room before…
The same guest room after restoration: the bed made up with a new cover and the old cupboard painted green.
…and after. The old cupboard has a new job.
